Accessible information for expatriate residents and students is now available on the revised English website of the Shenzhen Municipal Education Bureau. The website was officially put online Tuesday.

The website, http://szeb.sz.gov.cn/enportal, was designed to be a window into the city’s education sector, according to the bureau. On the basis of the former English website, the revised portal, designed by the Shenzhen Daily, adopted a more colorful and compact layout with more informative pages tailored for expatriate residents and international students.

Several new sections, including Guides, Schedule and Learning, were added to the new portal in addition to the original sections News, Notification and others.

Three sub-sections under Guides offer legislative provisions of staying and studying in Shenzhen, along with regulations for the city’s talent-recruiting policies, while the Schedule lays out the latest arrangement of exams, school terms and holidays.

The News section will have updates of the latest education events. Topics cover elementary education, tertiary education, international schools and other related events. The source of the news mainly comes from the Shenzhen Daily.

Besides profiles of the city’s education institutions of all levels and basic information, the updated portal also provides an array of government documents in regards to expats’ studying and residence within Shenzhen.
