International Shenzhen Artist Forum (ISZAF) is exhibiting 14 artists’ works at its “Visual Feast” exhibition in Xili.

The artists are Brittan Aebischer, Maria Bardyukova, Catarina Braga, Gloria Carnevale, Feng Chen, Barbara Grotowska, Tian Gu, Elisabeth Kern, Kumi Legault, Shabnam Lu, Michael Maradei, Andrea Rodriguez, Jen Rogan and May Wang.

Most of the artists at the exhibition are expats living in Shenzhen. Rodriguez is a freelance artist and art teacher teaching visual arts at the International School of Nanshan, Shenzhen. Carnevale is an artist, designer and educator working as the head of the visual arts and design department at the International School of Nanshan Shenzhen. She has designed the logo of Shenzhen Bay International Schools Music Festival Poster in 2017, some of ISZAF’s event posters and some of her Nanshan school’s event logos.

Braga, who does artistic production for ISZAF, deals with processual matters of photography, thinking and exploring the medium in relation with memory, temporal and spacial traveling in our contemporaneity. She reflects upon our relationship with reality, re-thinking the image and its value with today’s problems. Her work takes numerous forms; from text to photography to installations, objects and publications.

Aebischer is a U.S. artist, designer, art educator, and founder and co-chair of ISZAF. Working as a conceptual mixed-media artist, Aebischer believes in the power of conceptualization as the driving force when composing visual imagery and artistic experiences. His work is graphic, surreal, cathartic and intellectualized, focusing on the reality, yet abstraction of the human experience. He utilizes all mediums in his artistic process and is deeply metaphysical when contextualizing his work.

Grotowska is an art teacher at Shenwai Longgang International School. As a printmaker, painter, graphic designer and illustrator, her works have been exhibited at Guanlan International Print Biennale in 2011, as well as other major exhibitions in Poland, Britain, Portugal and the United States.
