A talent fair will be held in the office compound of the city’s human resources bureau between tomorrow and Thursday as a sideline event of the 20th China Hi-Tech Fair (CHTF).

High-quality enterprises covering IT, manufacturing, new energy, new materials and high-end service sectors will participate in the fair, offering more than 300 posts with annual salaries above 500,000 yuan (US$74,000) or packages of 300,000 yuan plus company shares options, according to the organizer, the Shenzhen Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, yesterday.

Among them, 80 percent are State-level high-tech enterprises accredited by State agencies such as BYD, Han’s Laser and Royole. Most of the vacancies on offer at the fair are intermediate or high-level technical or managerial posts, such as superintendent, manager, chief operations or financial officer and engineer, in the various sectors.

A dozen of job hunters will be representing enterprises seeking high-end professionals and offering annual salaries of up to 3 million yuan.

The fair covers seven categories including a forum of university presentations, a human resources exposition, an annual talent forum, a talent exhibition marking 40 years of reform and opening up, and startup promotions. Nanshan, Bao’an and Longgang districts will also hold fairs at their respective subvenues. The university presidents’ forum will focus on the theme “New Talent of the New Area in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area,” inviting university presidents to elaborate on nurturing talents and the development of the Greater Bay Area under the Belt and Road Initiative.

Liu Wei, president of Renmin University of China, Sui Guangjun, Party chief of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, and Tao Yitao, director with China’s Special Economic Zone Research Center under Shenzhen University, will give lectures.

The talent exhibition marking the 40th anniversary of reform and opening up will display Shenzhen’s achievements in talent introduction over the decades. Startup promotions will be introduced and the winning projects will be displayed at the college student innovation contests.

The 20th China Hi-Tech Fair will be held at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center from tomorrow to Sunday, and will showcase more than 1,000 new products, according to the organizers.

Around 3,000 exhibitors from 100 countries and regions will bring over 10,000 projects to the fair.
