The Guangzhou International Travel Fair 2019 (GITF) held a road show in Shenzhen yesterday, introducing the highlights of GITF 2019 and emphasizing the new trend of cultural tourism.

As the first large-scale international tourism exhibition in China, GITF has become an influential B2B and B2C travel fair. GITF 2019 will be held in Area C of the China Import & Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou from Feb. 21 to 23, 2019.

The fair aims to bring information on tourism trends, professional events and quality services to the world, and to provide a perfect business and communication platform for global exhibitions and buyers. There will be five halls, namely International Tourism & M.I.C.E., Domestic Tourism, Thematic Tourism, Local Travel Agencies and Tourism Culture & Lifestyle, hosting exhibitions from the national and regional tourism board, airlines, hotels, travel agencies, theme parks, recreational vehicles and tourism souvenirs.

To promote the deep integration of culture and tourism, the Guangzhou Cultural Life Experience Museum will show the traditions, culture and attractions of Guangfu, which refers to areas where people speak Cantonese, and provide a truly unique experience of Guangzhou culture for the exhibitors and visitors from all over the world. The museum was set up by the Guangfu Cultural Development Promotion Center and the organizer of GITF, Hannover Milano Fairs Shanghai Ltd., in cooperation with Cantonese enterprises. “By allowing tourists to experience the landscape and food, while appreciating the cultural connotations and feeling a deep emotional sublimation, the museum will better promote the development of traditional Chinese culture and the tourism transition,” according to the Guangfu Cultural Development Promotion Center.

With 27 years of development, GITF has a deep influence and abundant buyer resources in the tourism industry. GITF 2018 attracted 37,334 trade visitors, a significant increased of 19.5 percent compared to 2017.

Its brand-new professional services automation system provides a quality and efficient communication platform for buyers, exhibitors and media. The system successfully assisted 1,765 meetings and discussions held at GITF 2018.

The road shows for GITF 2019 will be held in Wuhan on Dec. 5, Beijing on Dec. 11 and Foshan on Dec. 14, providing more promotional opportunities for exhibitors.
