The Second Shenzhen Folk Artwork Exhibition is being held at Shenzhen Museum as part of the city’s 12th Hakka Cultural Festival.

Apart from free lectures, exhibitions and concerts, folk artists will also give performances and craft demonstrations at Honghu Primary School, Dongxiao Primary School, Shenzhen Polytechnic and Wutong Mountain Community Cultural Square from Dec. 10 to 21. Hakka singers will perform Dec. 13 at Tanglang Primary School.


Exhibition

More than 50 items, such as copper sculptures, wood sculptures, cotton figurines, paper-cutting, pyrograph paintings, wheat straw patchworks, pottery and cloisonne paintings, are on display.

Chinese lecture on Shenzhen folk culture

Photo and painting exhibition

Excellent photos and paintings of life in Shenzhen created by locals will be on display.

Closing concert

Forty guzheng will be played together at the closing ceremony of the Hakka Cultural Festival. Fifty locals will wear cheongsam and dance.
