A total of 70 Shenzhen technology and manufacturing enterprises attended the Hannover Messe (Hanover Fair) and some inked deals during the five-day fair, which ended April 5.

The Hannover Messe, started in 1947, is one of the world’s largest trade fairs. The fair, which now covers all areas of industrial technology, is held on the Hanover Fairground in Hanover, Germany.

This year’s fair attracted 6,551 enterprises from 88 countries and regions. Among them, 1,400 enterprises came from China, the second-largest exhibiting country outside Germany, according to a report by Shenzhen Special Zone Daily, quoting the organizer of the Shenzhen delegation, the Shenzhen Association for the Promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises.

The enterprises from Shenzhen included Huawei Technologies, Han’s Laser, Shenzhen Woer Heat Shrinkable Materials Shareholding Co. Ltd., Dobot, Leishen Intelligent System and Sinee.

Shenzhen Greentest Science and Technology, which was attending the fair for the first time, received orders from six countries, namely Germany, Italy, Spain, Brazil, India and Romania, for 1,000 food safety instant testing devices.

The Hannover is more professional, and the quality of potential buyers is higher, than many other fairs, according to the report quoting the company.

At the fair, the Shenzhen Association for the Promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises and Shenzhen Municipal Commerce Bureau turned their exhibition booth into a window to promote Shenzhen’s image. It attracted many overseas students to inquire about the city’s incentives and policies for attracting overseas students.
