After eight months of construction, the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Design and Cultural Industrial Park, jointly initiated by Qianhai Cooperation Zone Authority and Hong Kong Federation of Design Associations (HKFDA), was completed yesterday morning.

The industrial park, with a total construction area of about 19,000 square meters, is focused on boosting the development of cultural industries in Shenzhen and Hong Kong, promoting exchanges among designers, and encouraging young talents from Hong Kong to embark on entrepreneurship in Qianhai. A collection of cultural facilities are listed in its construction plan, including an exhibition hall, a creative bazaar and workshops for designers.

Du Peng, director of Qianhai Authority, stated that the industrial park will serve as the headquarters of cultural and creative industries in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, which will not only enhance cooperation in design between the Greater Bay Area cities, but also create a favorable environment for young entrepreneurs and startups seeking opportunities in Shenzhen.
