Four Bao’an firms enter national honor list

Four Bao’an companies were among the eight Shenzhen enterprises that have been honored as the country’s high-performing small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) specializing in specific areas.

According to the list released by the SME bureau under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), a total of 248 enterprises across the country have been selected as the first batch to win the accolade.

The companies are evaluated in across four indicators, namely economic benefits, degree of professionalism, innovation ability and business management, the Bao’an Daily said Monday.

The four Bao’an firms are Shenzhen JDDTech Co. Ltd., Shenzhen Rongda Photosensitive Science & Technology Co. Ltd., Shenzhen Sking Intelligent Equipment Co. Ltd. and Shenzhen Xuyu Optoelectronics Co. Ltd., covering fields such as industrial robotics, intelligent sensors and signal control systems for urban rail transit.

The SMEs on the list, being top performers in their specific areas, not only have strong innovation abilities and high market shares, but have also grasped core technologies and sustained excellent revenue streams. MIIT plans to have cultivated around 600 such companies by the end of 2020.

In recent years, Bao’an District has gradually formed unique advantages in scientific and technological innovation while consolidating its leading position in the intelligent manufacturing sector.

In 2018, the GDP of Bao’an District reached 361.2 billion yuan (US$52.3 billion), and the added value of high-tech industries totaled 109.2 billion yuan, an increase of 8.3 percent and accounting for nearly one-third of the district’s GDP.

The other Shenzhen firms that earned the honor are: Shenzhen AdTech Co. Ltd., Shenzhen Ampron Technology Co. Ltd., Shenzhen Emperor Tech and Shenzhen Keanda Electronic Technology Co. Ltd.
