The Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth Innovation and Entrepreneur Hub.

Friendly, inclusive and innovative.

These are the key words that high-level professionals from overseas have used to label Shenzhen as an international city with openness and vitality.

At a workshop organized by Shenzhen Project Care Office at Shenzhen Bay S&T Ecology Park, high-level professionals shared their ideas about the city from their experiences.

“I have been in the talent-hunting business for years. In interviews, I often ask why the subject chose Shenzhen. The inclusiveness is usually one of the answers,” said Tian Yong, general manager of Shenzhen Leading Talent Information and Technology Co. Ltd.

Zhao Yang, director of the R&D department of Shenzhen Francool S&T Co. Ltd., believes inclusiveness and tolerance is one reason for Shenzhen’s fast development, because innovation requires breaking routines and challenging old mindsets.

“Shenzhen has a good business environment. More importantly, it is tolerant and gives opportunities to those who fail when they first try to start their businesses and encourages them to try again,” said Zhao.

Liu Qi, director of the Shenzhen Bay Tech Companies Service Center, once lived and worked at Grenoble, which is nicknamed the Alpine Silicon Valley of Europe.

“There is no big difference in business atmosphere between the high-tech parks in Shenzhen and the bay areas in foreign countries. The service center offers quality and fast services for enterprises and people working in the park, and saves time and labor costs for enterprises,” said Liu.
