11 SZ designs shortlisted for interior design award final

A total of 11 designs from Shenzhen have been shortlisted for the final of the 2019 FX International Interior Design Awards, which will be held Nov. 27 in London.

A total of 45 designs from China entered the final, accounting for 25.9 percent of the total entries.

The awards were open to architects and designers of interior design projects or products. The categories include Public Space Scheme, Floor Covering, Hotel, Surfaces and Museum or Exhibition Space.

The 11 designs include Liangzhi International Automobile City in Lanzhou by Shenzhen Artsdesign Ltd., clubs in Dongguan and Foshan designed by Shenzhen Matrix Design Co. Ltd., and the architecture design by Shenzhen Deve Build Co. Ltd.

The Growing of Things by Beve Build at Sea World Culture and Arts Center in Shekou was selected as a finalist at the 2019 International Design Excellence Awards, which is run by the Industrial Designers Society of America.

This January, it won the 2019 iF Design Award, one of the most significant design awards in the world, which was founded by International Forum Design GmbH in 1953. It is one of the three big design awards in the world, along with the Red Dot award and the IDEA.

According to a report by the Daily Sunshine, the judge panel was made up of independent experts from many different sectors of the design world, including engineers, clients and architects.
