Qianhai Cloud, an integrated digital platform designed to service the industrial development of the free trade area, made its debut at the 2019 Qianhai World Digital Forum held at Vanke Qianhai International Conference Center on Friday.
Themed “Digital Technology Drives the Future,” the forum focused on the development trends of the digital economy and the exploration of the new modes for the development of the digital economy in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Qianhai Cloud offers an open, interconnected and smart ecosystem for sci-tech innovations by integrating advanced technologies, such as cloud computing, big data, AI, Internet of Things and blockchain, for its users. It gathers sci-tech innovation ideas to boost industrial innovation vitality with the aim of helping Qianhai enterprises go global, according to Zhang Wanxing, director of the digital operation division of Qianhai Inno-Tech Investment Holdings Co. Ltd., a company that is wholly owned by the Qianhai authority and responsible for the setup and operation of Qianhai Cloud.
Zhang said the establishment of the cloud platform is an important move in developing Qianhai’s sci-tech innovation industry and digital economy, as well as constructing a smart city. It mainly services the local industry and Qianhai’s smart-city drive.
Qianhai has taken the lead in developing the digital economy and digital management applications over the past few years and has made achievements in digital economy and the integration of digital economy and conventional industries, said Tian Fu, a member of the Standing Committee of the Shenzhen Municipal Committee of the CPC, at the opening ceremony of the forum.
Before the unveiling of Qianhai Cloud at the forum, an appointment ceremony was held to mark the formation of Qianhai Science & Technology Innovation Expert Consultative Committee, which will provide intellectual support for the development of the digital economy in Qianhai and the entire Greater Bay Area.
