More than 3,000 free bus tickets are available to help migrant workers travel for the upcoming Spring Festival, Shenzhen Evening News reported Thursday.

Funded by the Shenzhen Welfare Lottery Issuance Center, the tickets cover chartered buses and individual tickets.

Chartered buses will be arranged to carry migrant workers from Hechi and Baise cities of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region back to Shenzhen when the Spring Festival ends.

The individual tickets are for 20 routes from Shenzhen to Chengdu, Chongqing, Jingzhou, Xinyang and Hechi, as well as other cities. Passengers can choose from the following pick-up locations: Shenzhen (Yinhu) bus station, Longgang long-distance bus station and Bao’an bus station. The travel dates of individual tickets are from Jan. 15 to 19, 2020.

Migrant workers can register and apply for tickets via the public WeChat account of the center, “szfucai” (深圳福彩服务号), from Dec. 26 to 28.

When registering, the applicant’s name, ID card number, phone number, photo ID and proof of residence in the city shall be submitted. The bus tickets can be collected from Jan. 3 to 6, 2020.

Eligible applicants should be migrant workers aged between 18 and 60 who hold a Shenzhen residence permit. The destination should be the same as the hukou address on their ID card.

Applicants who refuse to collect their tickets without any reason will be blacklisted and disqualified from booking tickets through the welfare campaign for the next three years. Tickets may not be transferred, exchanged or returned.
