The 2020 Shenzhen Chinese Rose Show, which will be held between Jan. 22 and Feb. 8 at Shenzhen Renmin Park in Luohu District, is a good choice for spending the holiday.
The Shenzhen Chinese Rose Show dates back to 1998 and now has become one of the city’s oldest flower shows.
The 22nd in as many years, 2020’s event will, for the first time, extend the show area to the Huayang block located on Renmin Road South, allowing the show to cover an area of not only a park but also a road.
Over 300 species of Chinese roses will be exhibited, including popular varieties, such as the Monet rose, traviata rose and autumn pomegranate flower.
Four themed exhibitions comprised of different roses in various shapes will be set up from the park’s east gate to its west gate.
In addition to romantic roses, there also will be colorful events, including music instrument performances, artistic flower arrangement displays and a Chinese rose knowledge exhibition, to entertain residents.
Residents can take Metro Line 3 to Shaibu Station, exit at D1 and then walk to the park. The Sungang Bridge bus station is also near the park.
The show is hosted by the municipal urban administration and law enforcement bureau and the Luohu District Government.
