1. Wang Weizhong, Secretary of the CPC Shenzhen Municipal Committee, inspected epidemic prevention and control implementation as well as work resumption. On February 20, Wang Weizhong, Secretary of the CPC Shenzhen Municipal Committee, visited enterprises, industrial parks, sites of major construction projects as well as office buildings in Nanshan District and Qianhai and Shekou Free Trade Zone to inspect the implementation of epidemic prevention and control as well as work and production resumption. 2. Shenzhen supports Japan in combating NCP. Recently, Shenzhen Mammoth Public Welfare Foundation, Shenzhen Foundation for International Exchange and Cooperation (SFIEC) and Beijing Genomics Institute Co., Ltd. (BGI) have jointly donated a batch of testing kits for the novel coronavirus to Japan. With the coordination and facilitation of the Chinese Embassy in Japan and the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, this batch of kits have been transferred to the Japanese National Institute of Infectious Diseases. 3. Taxis in Shenzhen have adopted code-scanning registration, and bus lines will gradually be resumed. In order to further improve the efficiency of tracing the source of the epidemic and ensure the safety of citizens, it is encouraged that citizens who take public transportation (buses and roadside-hailed taxis) in Shenzhen to register for their ride voluntarily. Those who cannot register by QR code on the vehicle should voluntarily show their valid ID and cooperate with the driver or the conductor to complete the information registration. 4. Shenzhen citizens can now make appointments to buy 500,000 face masks to be released this weekend. An order of 500,000 face masks made in Switzerland and meeting the EU standards made by Dingdangkuaiyao (叮当快药) has been delivered to Shenzhen. These face masks will all be released into the market this weekend by means of online appointment and drawing lots, which will help meet the public's demand for face masks. Citizens in need of face masks may download the Dingdangkuaiyao App before logging on and make an appointment. The face masks will be sold to customers below cost with delivery free of charge. 5. How residents can prevent the spread of the epidemic through drains. In order to cut off the possibility of fecal-oral transmissions, Shenzhen Municipal Water Authority recently issued an Emergency Guide for Indoor Drainage, suggesting residents to check water-sealing gear, infuse water to floor drain daily, regularly clean hair out of the floor drain, fill water into the bottom of toilets, avoid using basin plugs, and pay attention to toilets out of use. 6. Shenzhen vehicles with "green QR codes" are exempted from inspection at quarantine sites. Shenzhen traffic police plan to set up fast lanes for vehicles with green QR code at some qualified checkpoints for epidemic prevention from February 20. Vehicles can pass through the fast lanes when the green QR code have been checked and verified by officers on site and body temperature checks are exempted for drivers with no other passengers on board.
