The CIB7 was co-organized by the Shenzhen Illustration Association and OCT Oh Bay, and hosted by Shenzhen Yangyang Culture.

During CIB7’s half year of collecting submissions, a total of 59,067 works from 6,530 illustrators nationwide have been received. Only works from 1,060 illustrators have been shortlisted.

In addition to the series of events which will be held at the main venue of OCT Oh Bay, CIB also joins hands with 10 publishing houses to exhibit for the first time the winning works of recipients of the CIB original picture books award, being presented at the Dongguan Library until Aug. 27, with the opening and award ceremonies to be held tomorrow.

The CIB7 commercial case exhibition will be held at the theme art hall of the Shenzhen Illustration Association in Nantou Old Town in September.

The first China Illustration Biennial was held in Shenzhen in 2007, and has since become an authoritative and professional competition of art illustration in the industry. It’s also a highly qualified domestic competition.

During the last decade, the China Illustration Biennial not only discovered young Chinese illustrators, but has also become an international master exhibition, facilitating the connection of China and the world within the field of illustration.
