78 honored Outstanding Young Entrepreneurs of GBA

Seventy-eight entrepreneurs from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao stood out among 500 of their peers to be honored in the first edition of the Outstanding Young Entrepreneurs of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) at an award ceremony held simultaneously in three venues in Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Macao on Oct. 29.

Shenzhen Vice Mayor Ai Xuefeng, Chen Hongtian, a political adviser to the national committee of the CPPCC, Hong Kong Justice of Peace and chairman of Cheung Kei Group, and other extinguished guests attended the Shenzhen award ceremony in Qianhai.

The event organizer has received 500 applications from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, contending for the honors of Outstanding Young Entrepreneur, Best Entrepreneurship Project, Best Sci-tech Innovation Project, Best Creative Cultural Project, Best Commercial Service Provider and Best Entrepreneur with Social Responsibility.

The selection of outstanding young entrepreneurs was organized with an aim to recognize their contribution to the development of the GBA and encourage entrepreneurship and innovation that has been regarded as the major new driver of growth.

Among the 500 candidates, Zheng Yuntian, vice president of Shenzhen-based Intellifusion, a high-tech company engaged in AI and digital city construction solution provider, Zhou Jian, CEO and founder of Ubtech, Han Xu, CEO and founder of Guangzhou-based Weride, a nationally leading unmanned driving technology company, Ho King-lun, chairman of Tai Fung Bank in Macao, and 30 others were honored the Outstand Young Entrepreneurs of the GBA. Twelve candidates received prizes for Best Entrepreneurship Project, eight were given the prizes for Best Sci-tech Innovation Project, four awarded prizes for Best Creative Cultural Project, 15 were named Best Commercial Service Providers and five Best Entrepreneurs with Social Responsibility.

The event was hosted by Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Union, under the guidance of the Ministry of Commerce and with support from China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce and China Federation of Industrial Economics.
