The five-day 2020 China Hi-Tech Fair ended yesterday with 2 million online visits to its Virtual Exhibition Hall and 451,000 on-site visits at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center, the organizers said in a news release yesterday.

Around 3,000 exhibitors and 173 enterprises displayed their products online, and high-tech projects involving new energy, new materials, biomedicine, IT, AR/VR, medical equipment and industrial design from Norway, Iran, Sweden, Hungary and Russia participated in the road shows, matchmakings and online promotions.

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, 24 countries and international organizations attended the fair in person.

The fair this year displayed 9,018 high-tech products at its main venue and two subvenues that covered a combined area of 142,000 square meters, and attracted 3,349 exhibitors. The exhibits covered AI, smart home, intelligent manufacturing, IoT, driverless vehicles, Internet of Vehicles, 5G applications, blockchain, big data and cloud computing, among others.

In five days, 176 activities including high-level forums, themed seminars, salons and technology conferences were held. More than 760 investment agencies, and nearly 400 research institutes, innovation centers and universities from home and abroad attended the fair, the organizers said.
