Riding the digital wave, Shenzhen has launched a smart platform to promote the digitization of public services in the culture, sports and tourism sector, Shenzhen Special Zone Daily reported.

All kinds of resources and service information of the city’s cultural and sports facilities, such as performances, exhibitions, films and television, as well as reading, sports and tourist activities are only one click away at http://szwen.cn.

The launch of the platform is an important move made by the Shenzhen Municipal Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau in response to the city’s initiative to build a “new smart city” and improve service delivery.

So far, 1,300 cultural and sports venues in the city have been connected to the platform, and more than 4,000 pieces of information have been uploaded.

The platform has developed an “all-in-one map” for citizens to obtain the location, service and traffic information of various cultural and sports facilities as well as the updates of a wide range of activities, performances and exhibitions.

Meanwhile, the platform is also connected with the municipal management service command center and the cultural, sports and tourism column of the government service app “iShenzhen,” so that relevant people can understand and observe the development of the city’s cultural, sports and tourism industry and assist in decision-making.

It is reported that virtual reality, aerial photography, three-dimensional modeling technology, combinations of panoramic video and other technical means are utilized to visualize the city’s cultural and sports venues and important tourist attractions, providing panoramic virtual tours for visitors.
