Seminar held on blockchain’s application to health industry

Experts and entrepreneurs participated in an energetic discussion at the seminar. 

A seminar on the application of blockchain technology to the health industry was held at the Blockchain Incubation Base in Futian District on Jan. 20.

More than 40 experts and entrepreneurs from the health care, blockchain, and financial investment industries participated in an energetic discussion at the event.

Huang He, Party secretary of the city’s health-related industry association, said that the health industry is the most important part of the Central Government’s “Healthy China 2030” initiative and that the association has been exploring how blockchain can serve and promote the health industry.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has aroused people’s awareness of health and the health industry is undergoing an unprecedented development opportunity. The decentralization and tamper-proof characteristics of blockchain technology are conducive to promoting the connection between the health industry and consumers and to facilitating the updating and iteration of health services,” Huang said.

The seminar was organized by the Shenzhen Information Service Blockchain Association and hosted by the Shenzhen Daoji Technology Media Co. Ltd.

The organizer is planning to hold a total of 100 seminars to explore applications of blockchain technology to various industries and fields.
