Council brings more trade opportunities

Relying on its extensive network and through its cooperation with Hong Kong and Macao industrial and commercial associations, China Council For Promotion of International Trade Shenzhen Branch (CCPIT Shenzhen) will offer more opportunities for Chinese and foreign enterprises to develop cooperation and partnerships, according to an official with CCPIT Shenzhen.

At the four-day online China-Mexico Forum 2021, which closed Thursday, Tang Jin, deputy director of CCPIT Shenzhen, said Shenzhen is a core city of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), and CCPIT Shenzhen has been vigorously supporting local enterprises to explore the international market and serving GBA development by introducing international economic and trade resources, organizing trade shows and forums, and establishing global economic and trade service networks.

The forum, entitled Reflection for a New Era, aims to share a vision in 2021 in the China-Mexico bilateral arena and the ways to improve business opportunities in the post-COVID-19 era and beyond.

Through eight panels and a concluding session, the organizer, China Chamber of Commerce and Technology Mexico, brought Mexican enterprises and Chinese companies in Mexico in different sectors together to share opportunities in technologies and tourism, trade and customs services, and finance and economy construction.

Huawei Technologies, Didi, Skyworth and Sinopec sent representatives to the seminar and gave lectures at different panels.

“CCPIT Shenzhen serves as a bridge connecting business associations and strengthening business communities in Guangdong-Hong Kong and Macao Greater Bay Area to explore overseas markets,” said Tang in a video to government and enterprise representatives attending the forum in Mexico.

As a bridge, the council is using its channels and networks to facilitate exchanges of GBA with other cities in China, and other bay area cities in the world in academic, industrial, scientific, technological and cultural sectors, Tang added.

The Central Government unveiled its Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in February 2019, signifying a new milestone in the development of the Greater Bay Area.

Shenzhen will become a leading city globally in terms of economic strength and quality of development, and by 2035, it will become not only a national model of high-quality development, but also a hub of innovation, entrepreneurship and creativity with international influence.
