The new Longhua Central Park, also known as Yulong Binshui City Park, will be built soon.

The park, located at the southwest side of the intersection of Meiguan Road and Nanping Expressway in Minzhi Subdistrict in Longhua District, is reported to be the largest park planned in Longhua.

Listed as one of last year’s key projects in Longhua, the park will cover an area of nearly 2.86 million square meters, with roads and paths inside the park extending 18.5 kilometers.

The project will connect Longhua’s Talent Greenway and Extreme Sports Park.

According to its bid plan, the total investment for the park is 250 million yuan (US$38.6 million).

The public bidding for the project’s survey is ongoing and will last until May 19.

In addition, Longhua this year will add another eight parks, namely Shijing Park, Qiankeng Laocun Bamboo Park, Shedikeng Park, Xinqu Boulevard Jiexin Park, Yulong Park, Yousong Binshui Park, Dalang Longping Park and Fengsheng Market Park. Construction of these parks started Feb. 8 this year, earlier reports said.
