Shenzhen now has about 3.99 million skilled workers, Shenzhen Economic Daily reported yesterday, citing the latest data from local social security authorities.
Among them, 1.43 million are listed as high-quality workers, accounting for 35.94% of the total.
In the past three years, one person from Shenzhen has won the prestigious Chinese Skills Award and 65 people have been granted the title of National Technical Experts.
Five people have been named South Guangdong Technical Masters and 144 people won the title of Guangdong Provincial Technical Experts.
Shenzhen Municipal Government has been supporting enterprises and industries to establish training entities.
Up to now, 442 entities such as high skilled personnel training bases, technician workstations, and master studios have been established.
