Dapeng Peninsula

Dapeng Peninsula, a noted tourist attraction, was selected as one of the most beautiful coasts in China by Chinese National Geography. The peninsula is home to many beaches in Shenzhen and is a favorite among backpackers. Boasting of a 305-square-kilometer sea area and 128-kilometer coastline, the peninsula has Category 1 national-standard water quality. 

The little-known beaches of Shenzhen's Dapeng peninsula are nurturing a fledgling culture of surf, sand and sun. Jinshuiwan in Dapeng Peninsula is an ideal place to learn windsurfing. The wind blows towards the shore, so you won't get swept out to sea, and the bay is relatively shallow as long as you don't go too far out.

The place enjoys a growing popularity among divers. For local summer lovers, it's a pleasant alternative to Phuket or the Maldives; there are several diving spots waiting to be discovered.

The National Water Sports Center for the General Public, a five-star demonstration project, will settle in Dapeng New Area, according to a framework agreement signed in February 2023 by Dapeng New Area, the China Water Sports Administration, CCCC Ocean Investment Holding Co. Ltd., and Shenzhen Shanhai Blue Pole Sports Culture Development Co. 

With a 300,000-square-meter floor space, it will be one of the major infrastructure facilities for some of the National Games' water sports events to be held in 2025 and has the capacity to hold international sporting events. The settlement of the center is also Dapeng's major step in aiding the city to build the global marine center city. 

During peak seasons and major public holidays, self-driving tourists are required to make reservations to enter the Dapeng Peninsula.
