Dapeng Ancient City Museum

Dapeng Ancient City Museum was established in 1996. It's a site museum relying on the national key cultural relics protection unit, namely Dapeng Ancient City as well as its profound historic culture. Based on the historical and cultural relics in Dapeng Ancient City, there are exhibitions built there, such as Zhenwei General Lai Enjue's Office History Exhibit, Dapeng Ancient City's Years-the History of Dapeng Ancient City, Dapeng's Coastal Defense Exhibition in Ming and Qing Dynasties, Liu Heizai Memorial Hall, introducing Dapeng's humanity history, coastal defence culture, red culture and other patriotism education connotations. Dapeng Ancient City has become an important reception window of cultural exchange in our city. In December 2005, Dapeng Ancient City Museum was recognized as the patriotism education base in Guangdong Province. In 2009, Dapeng Ancient City Museum was awarded as a "National Tertiary Museum" by National Cultural Heritage Administration.
