He Xiangning Art Museum

From: Shenzhen Municipal Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau

He Xiangning Art Museum was built in Shenzhen on May 13, 1995 and opened on April 18, 1997 with the approval of the Central Government. Jiang Zemin, then general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, inscribed the name of the museum. It is the first national art museum named after a person in China. Now it is a public welfare institution directly under the Central United Front Department.

He Xiangning Art Museum takes collecting, exhibiting and researching Ms. He Xiangning's work and related literature as its basic purpose; takes planning, displaying, collecting, researching excellent traditional art, overseas Chinese art and feminine art, collating and preserving relevant literature of art history as its main academic work; furthermore, it also pays attention to introduction communication and promotion of contemporary Chinese and foreign art.
