

Shenzhen Art Museum

Established in 1976, Shenzhen Art Museum, formerly known as Shenzhen Exhibition Center, is the oldest art exhibition unit in Shenzhen. Located at Shenzhen Reservoir Scenic Area of Donghu Park in Luohu District, Shenzhen Art Museum covers an area of 5,500 m2 including a building area of 2,800 m2 and an exhibition area of 1,200 m2. Focusing on the diversification of collections, Shenzhen Art Museum has now collected 8,678 artistic masterpieces, including Chinese paintings, oil paintings, printmaking, sculpture and calligraphic works. In recent years, in order to boost the development of local art and create a better image as an urban art museum, Shenzhen Art Museum has planned and held a series of artistic exhibitions and annual thematic exhibitions to fulfill its academic goal of focusing on contemporary urban art and emphasizing local art.
