Shenzhen Theater (Shenzhen time-honored brand) was founded in 1960. It is the first cultural facility in Shenzhen and has always functioned as the cultural propaganda front in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao area. Located at Dongmen, Luohu District, Shenzhen Theater is equipped with 1 professional theater (585 seats), 1 multi-functional theater (172 seats) and 4 digital movie halls. Over the years, Shenzhen Theater has successfully bred eight public welfare cultural projects, such as "The 10th Exhibition of Renowned Chinese Operas by Masters", "The 4th Our Chinese Festivals—Shenzhen Theater Ethnic Orchestra Concert", " The 4th Morning Tea of Chinese Operas", "The 23rd Seasons of Child Plays", "The Shenzhen Exhibition of Renowned Chinese Operas by Masters into schools", "The 11th Cantonese Opera on Weekends", "The 19th Singing Competition of the Elderly and Middleaged" and "Filmic Patriotism Education Bas". It has held Peking Opera and Kun Opera, with nearly 200 non-profit performances and approximately 150 thousand movies shown annually, reaching over 500,000 audiences. Shenzhen Theater's live-broadcasting platform "XiBo" has successfully live-streamed more than a hundred performances with the click rate up to 21 millions. With persistent effort and strong faith, Shenzhen Theater has made a prominent contribution to the development of Chinese marvelous traditional culture.
