Situated in Shenzhen's Guangming District, the Sun Yat-sen Univeristy Shenzhen Campus covers an area of 3.143 square kilomters. The first phase of the campus was completed in June 2023. 

A total of 17 schools, including School of Medicine, School of Public Health (Shenzhen), School of Pharmaceutical Sciences (Shenzhen), School of Materials, School of Medical Engineering, School of Electronics and Communication Engineering, School of Intelligent Systems Engineering, School of Aeronautics and Astronautics, School of Agriculture, School of Ecology, School of Integrated Circuits, School of Advanced Manufacturing, School of Advanced Energy, School of Cyber Science and Technology, Business School and School of Science, have been set up in the campus as of June 2023.
