As the only modern international cruise homeport in south China, Shekou Cruise Homeport, which integrates sea, land, air and railway networks, serves as a "sea gateway" that connects Shenzhen with Hong Kong, Macao and the rest of the world. 

Shekou Cruise Homeport's high-speed ferries operate regularly between Shenzhen and Hong Kong International Airport, Hong Kong Central, Macao Outer Harbor, Macao Taipa, and Guangdong's Zhuhai and Zhongshan cities. In recent years, the homport also launched sightseeing ferry routes featuring the Shenzhen Bay and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge.
