Time-honored brands

From: Shenzhen Municipal Talent Affairs Bureau

Laurel Restaurant 丹桂轩

Founded in 1994, Laurel Restaurant was selected as one of the first batch of Shenzhen’s time-honored brands in 2010. It is a famous old restaurant that has grown up with many Shenzhen people.

It focuses on innovative Cantonese cuisine, giving traditional dishes new twists, while also offering global cuisine and local dishes, which fits the temperament of Shenzhen, a city of migrants.

Laurel Restaurant has now set up seven outlets in Shenzhen and Macao, and its high-end brand, Laurel Garden, has opened two stores.

The dining environment is elegant and stylish, suitable for family dinners, friends' gatherings, and business banquets. Its Cantonese morning tea is one of the top choices for Shenzhen people to kickstart the day.

Victory Restaurant 胜记

When it was founded in 1989, Victory Restaurant had an operating area of less than 20 square meters and only seven employees. After more than 30 years of development, it has now become a catering group with three brands, 11 restaurants, more than 1,600 employees, and over 20,000 square meters of operating area. In 2010, it was selected as one of the first batch of Shenzhen’s time-honored brands. In 2011, it was awarded the title of National Five Diamond Restaurant.

The reason for its booming business lies in its insistence on high-quality products and services, which reflects its decision to embrace the concept of "the world changes, but the authentic taste remains." Its signature dishes include clams baked with bean sauce, and steamed arched bridge-shaped pork ribs.

Tang Palace 唐宫

Tang Palace established its first store in Shenzhen in 1992, and was listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on April 19, 2011. Selected as a time-honored brand of Shenzhen in 2015, it is now a catering group chain with 12 brands.

Whether it's a family dinner, a business banquet, or a hipster’s photo shoot, for a gathering of two or three friends, you’ll be hard pressed to find a more welcoming dining environment than in Tang Palace's brand stores.

Tang Palace explains its brand as "continuing the culture of the prosperous Tang Dynasty and inheriting the essence of Chinese cuisine." Therefore, its restaurants are mostly decorated in a Chinese style, and its Cantonese dishes focus on inheriting past traditions.
