Founded in 2013, Shenzhen Opera Masters Exhibition, hosted by Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality and undertaken by Shenzhen Theater. It is held once a year, and has been successfully held for 10 times. It aims to stage a number of outstanding opera performances with profound thinking, exquisite art and excellent production, comprehensively display the artistic charm and development achievements of traditional Chinese opera, and present a wonderful opera feast for Shenzhen citizens. Since its establishment, it has successively invited well-known domestic theater troupes such as the China National Peking Opera Company (CNPOC), Beijing Jingju Theater, Guangdong Opera Theater, as well as many famous performing artists of various opera genres who have won the Plum Performance Award to participate in the performance, and staged Peking Opera, Kunqu Opera, Yu Opera, Huangmei Opera, Qinqiang Opera, Jin Opera, Cantonese Opera and other excellent operas, while fully tapping local excellent opera art resources, and selecting representative plays to be broadcast live through the Shenzhen Theater "Drama" platform, attracting more citizens, especially young people. Shenzhen Opera Masters Exhibition protects and inherits the thousand-year-old opera culture, and also makes positive contributions to improving the city's humanistic quality, promoting Chinese traditional culture, providing high-quality public culture and satisfying people's yearning for a better life.
