Peking University Shenzhen Hospital, founded in 1999, is an AAA-rated modern comprehensive hospital. Covering a total area of 220,000 square meters, the hospital is hailed as "the most beautiful hospital in Shenzhen" with its evergreen environment. Under an agreement signed by the Shenzhen city government and Peking University in October 2000, the hospital was integrated into the affiliated hospital system of the Beijing-based university. In 2019, the hospital was assessed as A+ twice in the national performance assessment of the top-rated public hospitals and ranked 59th nationally and sixth in Guangdong province.
