Shenzhen Eye Hospital

Founded in 1983, Shenzhen Eye Hospital is the only city-level public eye hospital in Shenzhen. Located in Futian District, the hospital is a modern eye disease prevention and treatment facility that integrates medical treatment, teaching and research. The hospital covers an area of more than 17,000 square meters, with a floor area of 28,000 square meters, and has 200 hospital beds. There are 10 specialized disciplines including glaucoma, cataract, fundus, fundus surgery, orbital disease and ocular tumor, strabismus and pediatric ophthalmology, keratoconus and ocular surface disease, traditional Chinese medicine ophthalmology, neuro-ophthalmology, and optometry, covering all the subspecialties for an ophthalmology hospital. The average annual number of outpatient and emergency visits exceeds 420,000, the inpatient visits exceed 17,000, and surgeries exceed 33,000 (including outpatient and other surgeries).
