The Shenzhen Hospital of Southern Medical University has been built and operated in accordance with the accreditation of an AAA-rated hospital, through collaboration between the Shenzhen city government and the Guangzhou-based Southern Medical University.

Opened Dec.28, 2015, the hospital has a total floor area of 171,204 square meters on 82,412 square meters of land. With a total planned beds capacity of 2,500, the hospital is a major comprehensive public hospital in western Shenzhen that integrates medical services, teaching and research.
