Industrial machine tool industry

In order to accelerate the development of the industrial machine tool industry cluster, the Shenzhen Municipal Industry and Information Technology Bureau, Shenzhen Municipal Development and Reform Commission and the Shenzhen Municipal Science, Technology and Innovation Commissionhave formulated an action plan for fostering and developing this over a period of three years (2022-2025).

Development status

In 2021, the added value of Shenzhen’s industrial machine tool industry reached 21.7 billion yuan. The domestic market share of CNC machine tools used in 3C manufacturing is high, and the technical level of special equipment for lithium batteries has reached a leading position in China.In some fields,industrial chains with relatively complete upstream core parts, midstream equipment and downstream applications have emerged. By 2025, the industrial scale will maintain rapid growth, the output value of key subdivisions will continue to increase, the output value of key firms will continue to reach a new level, and the added value of the industrial machine tool industry is expected to reach 35 billion yuan.

Objectives

(1) Continuously expanding industrial scale.By 2025,the industrial scale will maintain rapid growth, the output value of key subdivisions will continue to increase, the output value of key firms will continue to reach a new level, and the added value of the industrial machine tool industry is expected to reach 35 billion yuan.

(2) Constantly enhancing innovation capacity.By 2025, the city will significantly improve the independent supply capacity of middle and high-end core functional components and add one provincial-level or higher manufacturing innovation center, as well as more than 10 manufacturing “single champions,”“little giants” and “unicorns.”  

(3) Significant improvement in industrial digitalization.By 2025, the city will organize and promote a number of digital application demonstration projects,build an industrial machine tool knowledge bank and technique bank, and effectively establish a knowledge-based ecosystem with applicationsat the core.
