Intelligent robot industry

In order to accelerate the development and expansion of the intelligent robot industry cluster, the Shenzhen Municipal Industry and Information Technology Bureau, Shenzhen Municipal Development and Reform Commission and the Shenzhen Municipal Science, Technology and Innovation Commission have formulated an action plan for fostering and developing the intelligent robot industry cluster (2022-2025).

Development status

Shenzhen's intelligent robot industry is developing well and has a number of backbone firms. The industrial robot industry has a relatively complete industrial chain, with investments in reducers, servo systems, controllers,ontology and integrated applications,among which the servo system enjoys a leading position in China.There are rich product types in the field of service robots while humanoid robots are leading the country. Special robots are widely used in pipeline networks and racks,medical care, energy, environmental protection, agriculture, subways, emergency rescue, and other fields.Shenzhen leads the world in drone technologies, and consumer drones account for a large share of the global market. In 2021, the added value of Shenzhen's intelligent robot industry reached 8.9 billion yuan.

Objectives

(1) Surging industrial scale. By 2025, the added value of Shenzhen's intelligent robot industry is expected to reach 16 billion yuan, with the added value of the drone industry reaching over 10 billion yuan,and the output in terms of industrial robots, service robots, and special robots achieving rapid growth.

(2) Improved innovation capacity. By 2025, major breakthroughs will be made in key technologies relating to intelligent robots, while the self-sufficiency rate of core components will be greatly increased and key indicators such as product accuracy, reliability and average life span will reach an international advanced level.

(3) Expansion of industrial application. By 2025, Shenzhen will organize and implement a number of intelligent robot application demonstration projects in electronic information, automobiles, education, and security and logistics. It will also cultivate a number of in-depth application cases for intelligent robots and achieve the large-scale application of intelligent robots in key industries.
