The China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF) is co-hosted by the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee (National Press and Publication Administration, State Copyright Bureau and China Film Administration), the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Ministry of Commerce, the State Administration of Radio and Television, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the Guangdong Provincial Government, and the Shenzhen Municipal Government.

Organized by Shenzhen Press Group, Shenzhen Radio, Film and Television Group, Shenzhen Publishing Group Co. Ltd., and Shenzhen International Cultural Industry Fair Co. Ltd, the ICIF is a grand event in China's cultural industry.

Since its establishment in 2004, it has held one session every year. By the end of 2022, it has held 18 sessions in total. The ICIF continues to improve in terms of its exhibition area, the number of exhibitors and exhibits, the number of subvenues, the number of participants, trading volume, and other indicators. Since the sixth ICIF in 2010, all 31 provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan have participated. In 2018, after the 19th National Congress of the CPC, the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee officially acted as the organizer of the ICIF, reflecting the role of the ICIF in national cultural reform and development. With the direct guidance and strong support of the Publicity Department and other host ministries, it has become the No. 1 exhibition for China's cultural industry.
