Neilingding Futian Nature Reserve

The Guangdong Neilingding Futian National Nature Reserve is the only national nature reserve with in China's urban vicinities. The reserve is composed of two parts: the Neilingding Island and the Futian Mangrove National Nature Reserve. 

The reserve implements a reservation system and open 80 visiting places to the public every day. The aim is to invite the public to experience nature and learn about wetland conservation.

The reserve has established the Futian Mangrove Nature Reserve Nature Education Center, one of the first nature education centers in Shenzhen. Since its launch in November 2014, the center has provided a platform and space for more citizens to learn about mangroves and participate in migratory bird conservation.

In February 2023, the Futian Mangrove Nature Reserve was designated as one of the Wetlands of International Importance under the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands, attracting more international attention to the mangrove wetland ecosystem in Houhai Bay.

Metro: Line 1 to Zhuzilin Station (竹子林站）, Exit B1. Follow the instruction and walk for 1.6 km to the entrance.
