‘Topologies of the Real’

The “Topologies of the Real: Techne Shenzhen 2023” exhibition, running until July 23, features over 100 works by international artists spanning from the late 19th century to the present, including early experiments on film, photography, video, computer and telepresence art, as well as works by modern artists.

Canton enamels, fossils

A new exhibition running until Oct. 22 showcases 258 Canton enamels on loan from 10 museums around China. A Jehol Biota fossil exhibition, running until Oct. 8, is home to more than 120 fossils formed about 120 millions of years ago during the early Cretaceous period.

Bronze, creative products

A free exhibition running through Aug. 27 showcases ancient Chinese bronze pieces on loan from Shanghai Museum. At a cultural and creative products exhibition inspired by Chinese museum collections, there’s everything from toys, stationery, clothing, accessories, souvenirs and blind boxes to explore. The exhibition runs until Sunday.

Contemporary art

“The Wife Went to Start a Business” showcases Shenzhen artist Li Liao’s works based on his temporary job as a food delivery man. At Yan Shanchun’s “Fuchun” exhibition, the artist presents his sensible artistic expression in paintings portraying the four seasons in Fuchun, an ancient area in modern Fuyang District in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. Veteran artist Liang Quan is also exhibiting his abstract paintings at the “Green” exhibition. The ending dates for the exhibitions haven’t yet been announced.
