NEED! FLEA in Futian this week

Still wondering where to spend your time this upcoming Dragon Boat Festival holiday? How about saving a few hours for a cool marketplace? The popular NEED! FLEA market, after a stop in Shekou this February and another in Nantou Ancient Town in April, is finally coming to Futian.

The market, which will be held at Upper Hills from Wednesday to Saturday, will feature 80 booths presented by clothing and jewelry designers, vintage and curio collectors, artists, photographers and more from across the country. Complementing those four-day booths are one-day vendors who will each pack their offerings in a suitcase. Decades-old toys, vintage dresses, original jewelry pieces, handmade candles, an on-site cartoon drawing of you and your friends, or a Tarot experience … Who knows what you will find next?

Music, as usual, makes an important part of this NEED! FLEA market. On a stage with two big nomadic-style tents, 14 groups of musicians will bring music of a rich variety of genres.

The NEED! FLEA marketplace is organized by NEED!, a vintage and secondhand e-commerce platform and youth culture brand that originated in Shanghai. NEED! focuses on exploring unique, fashionable, and sustainable lifestyles with China’s young people and promotes diversity and cultural understanding as its core philosophy.
