The third edition of the Summertime Culture Shop, a bilingual summer camp organized by Zhaoshang Subdistrict of Nanshan District, concluded Friday. The two-week camp attracted a total of 60 local and expat children, including 25 from India, the U.S., Israel, Mexico, Poland, the U.K., and Argentina, according to the Nanshan International Cultural & Service Center (NSIC).

The camp featured a variety of activities, including martial arts, board games, food-making, Zumba dance, painting, and African drumming. Children also visited the Shenzhen Bell Nature Wonder Park, toy company Mattel, and the Sea World Culture & Arts Center.

Expatriate volunteers from India, Romania, Pakistan, and South Korea helped to supervise the children’s activities and interact with them.

The Summertime Culture Shop is part of the NSIC’s efforts to promote cultural exchange and understanding between local and expat residents of Shenzhen. The NSIC also offers a variety of other programs and services, including language classes, cultural events, and business assistance.
