HK logs record entry-exit trips border with mainland

The latest data from the Hong Kong Immigration Department showed yesterday that the number of people entering and leaving Hong Kong in July reached 20.68 million, an increase of nearly 20% compared to June, marking a new high since the full reopening of cross-border travel between Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland. 

Cross-border consumption is thriving in Shenzhen and Hong Kong. Impressive data from the Shenzhen Municipal Statistics Bureau highlights the city's strong consumer recovery. During the first half of this year, Shenzhen witnessed a robust resurgence in retail sales of consumer goods, soaring to a total of 500.02 billion yuan (US$70 billion) — a noteworthy 11.5% increase compared to the previous year.
