Boomtown continues to boom

On Aug. 18, 2019, the Central Government unveiled a guideline supporting Shenzhen in building a pilot demonstration area of socialism with Chinese characteristics, charting the course for the city’s future growth,a prominent testbed of China’s reform and opening up. Today, we take a moment to reflect on the incredible progress in Shenzhen’s transportation, public facilities and infrastructure development over the past four years. From Pingshan’s fully autonomous elevated rail, Longgang’s ecological park, Yantian’s sleek park to multifunctional recreational spaces around the city, as we gaze upon these photos, we witness the city’s unwavering commitment to creating a sustainable and prosperous future.

Tucked away in clouds, mists, forests and mountains, Yunhai Park’s cruise ship-like Yunhai Forest Service Station is quite spectacular. Standing on the station’s balconies, one can have a panoramic view of Yantian Port. In the future, the station will become a comprehensive service center with cultural, leisure and science popularization functions.
