Ongoing art Exhibitions across the city

Xu Beihong’s paintings

Locals are having a rare opportunity to admire more than 80 masterpieces created by Xu Beihong (1895-1953) between the 1920s and the 1940s at an exhibition running through Nov. 12.

Lacquer paintings

A lacquer painting exhibition running through Saturday requires visitors to hold retro lamps to observe the artworks exhibited in dimly lit rooms. This unique setup creates a nostalgic experience, allowing viewers to appreciate the intricate details and hues of the paintings under the warmth of retro lamps in a centuries-old house.

Photos, abstract paintings

Fascinated by the constant presence of people engrossed in their mobile phones, either in subways, conference rooms, or in scenic spots and on escalators, Chinese artist Li Xiaoliang, better known as Alexvi, captured these individuals and is exhibiting the photos at an exhibition. Meanwhile, veteran artist Liang Quan is also exhibiting his abstract paintings. The ending dates for both haven’t been announced.
