Shenzhen Polytechnic University
Founded in 1993 as Shenzhen Polytechnic, the college was one of the first in China specializing in higher vocational and technical education. It was upgraded to Shenzhen Polytechnic University on Sept. 8, 2023, becoming the first university established on the basis of a school specializing in higher vocational and technical education since China unveiled a new set of criteria for vocational undergraduate colleges and universities in 2021.

Committed to building platforms for high-level technical and skilled talent training, integration of production and education, gathering master craftsmen, application of R&D, and global vocational education innovation, the university currently has three campuses, Xili, Overseas Chinese Town, and Shenshan, with a total area of more than 4,500 mu.
The university, with a designated scale of 35,000 students, is allowed to set up its first batch of six vocational undergraduate programs in electronic information engineering technology, modern communication engineering, artificial intelligence engineering technology, intelligent manufacturing engineering technology, new energy automobile engineering technology and digital animation.
