Qiaopi is the name given to the letters written home by Chinese emigrants. On Saturday, a high-definition video of Puccini’s “Turandot” will be screened. Chinese filmmaker Chen Kaige delivers an opulent staging of the fairy tale of Princess Turandot, who will only marry a prince capable of solving her riddles.
