Guangming Honghuashan Sports Center

As one of the major cultural and sports facilities in Guangming District, Honghuashan Sports Center covers an area of about 63,000 square meters, with a total construction area of about 55,000 square meters. It is mainly composed of a gymnasium, a stadium, an outdoor swimming pool and an outdoor sports area. 

With a goal to meet the public needs for various sports, the center has been under renovation and expansion since 2022 to include an additional auxiliary gymnasium, a spectator stand for the track field, underground parking lots and supporting leisure space. 

With multi-functional venues for sports such as badminton, basketball, table tennis, tennis, gym, swimming, and rock climbing, the sports center will also have space for the senior citizens and children, including a walking belt, a children's playground, art installations, and viewing platforms, to meet the diversified sports and leisure needs of different age groups. 

After renovation, the stadium, with an inner field reaching 14,600 square meters, can accommodate 4,000 spectators, which allows it to host large-scale activities such as gigs and carnivals in addition to various matches and training. The sports center is expected to be put into full use at the end of 2024.
