Here comes Maker Faire Shenzhen 2023

The Maker Faire Shenzhen 2023, with the theme "Where Are the Makers?," will be held this weekend. Tech enthusiasts can not only view cutting-edge technologies at the two-day exhibition but can also gain insights at four forums or attend hands-on activities at workshops.

Since its launch in 2012, Maker Faire Shenzhen, organized by Chaihuo Maker Space, is a large-scale gathering for exchanges and collaborations in the maker community and serves as a platform for technology and traditional industries.

Robot battles will be held at the Maker Faire Shenzhen 2023. 

Maker Exhibit

This year, individuals, teams and enterprises from nearly 30 countries and regions will showcase their projects, solutions and products which span across more than 30 industries at an exhibition. Focused areas include artificial intelligence (AI), smart manufacturing, maker education, entertainment, smart cities and smart agriculture. Numerous well-known enterprises and organizations are participating, including NVIDIA, Raspberry-pi, Bambu Lab, the Airbus China Innovation Center and Seeed Studio, to name a few.

Time: 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Nov. 11-12

Visitors are free to enter the exhibition but you need to sign up by scanning the QR code in the poster above or by signing up onsite.

Maker Forum

Renowned speakers from home and abroad will discuss various topics at the two-day forums. In the “Through the Cycles” session Saturday morning, speakers such as Eric Pan, Eben Upton and David James Groom will share their insights on the trends within the maker movement, as well as explore the vast potential and opportunities for future pathways.

In the “Tech for Good” session Saturday afternoon, speakers such as Alex Qian, Cesar Jung-Harada and Andrea Magelli will delve into the transformative power of makers as they drive the sustainable development of multiple industries within the realm of industrial digitization.

In the “Cyber Farm” session Sunday morning, experts from various sectors such as businesses, government and technology will share insights and cases to discuss digital technology’s contributions to agricultural and rural development.

The “Things w/AI” session Sunday afternoon will bring together experts from scientific research institutes and investment firms to delve into the application and future prospects of AI technology in the hardware sector.

Workshops

This year, the workshops are categorized into two categories: the Industry Innovation Workshops and the Interactive Experience Workshops for people in various technological backgrounds. The workshops aim to provide an immersive experience in technological innovation, offering insights into the potential applications of innovative technology.
