Firm serves clients with high-end LED displays

In today's era of intelligence, people come across high-definition and intelligent display screens everywhere in their lives such as smart vehicle windows, embedded TV sets, and naked-eye 3D displays, to just name a few.

The Shenzhen Chip Optech Co. Ltd. (Chipshow for short), established in 2000, focuses on the intensive development of outdoor sports LED displays, outdoor advertising LED displays, outdoor traffic LED displays, outdoor LED signage, outdoor rental LED displays as well as other LED display fields.

Over the past 23 years, Chipshow has insisted on its step-by-step development to grow to its current size and has been rated as a national high-tech enterprise.  

Business environment

Chipshow moved its headquarters to Bao’an District in 2007. The reasons behind this decision are related to the district's sound business environment.

“Bao'an is adjacent to the airport. When foreign customers come to visit, the ease of access is very convenient. The infrastructure of Bao'an District has been completed and is well designed. Consequently, its whole business environment is very good,” said Zou Zhiping, the deputy marketing director of Chipshow, in a recent interview with Shenzhen Daily.

Another key reason why the company has remained in Bao'an for more than 20 years lies in the industry support Bao'an provides.

According to Zou, the Fuyong area and the Shiyan area are the center areas of the LED industry. In Shiyan alone, within five kilometers, there are hundreds of LED manufacturers as well as supporting suppliers, so the entire industry circle is very complete.

“In addition, both the Bao’an District Government and Shiyan Subdistrict are very supportive of us. As a sci-tech enterprise, we received government subsidies. If we attend overseas exhibitions, we will also receive government subsidies,” said Zou.

Although Chipshow's factory recently moved to Huizhou, as the enterprise bought a factory there, Chipshow's headquarters will definitely always be based here, suggested Zou.

“We have been hiring local employees, and have also sent people from our headquarters to work there. We will continue this model in the future. We are planning to also have sales centers and after-sales service centers in the Middle East and in Latin America,” said Zou.

“Our current plan is to build showrooms in more places, and build more sales centers and warehouse distribution centers,” added Zou.

Salequr Rahman from Bangladesh has been working for Chipshow for more than one year as a social media marketing manager responsible for company brand awareness, social media posting, website maintenance and in other areas.

In Rahman's opinion, Chipshow is doing really great in the LED display industry with its more than 20 years of experience and a big R&D team.

“My experience with Chipshow is quite good because all the colleagues and the working environment in Chipshow are really good, and all the colleagues are very friendly,” said Rahman.

Display industry

Chipshow is pursuing high-definition, ultra-thin displays as its main product direction.

Ultra-high-definition video display is one of the 20 strategic emerging industrial clusters that Shenzhen highlighted in its recently issued guidelines on developing strategic emerging industrial clusters and fostering future industries. Shenzhen will support the research and development of new generation display technologies and products such as micro LEDs.
