To build a warmer, more dynamic and international "City of Parks" and better integrate the coffee culture into the city's everyday life, Shenzhen is holding its first park coffee festival at Lianhua Hill Park.
Taking place simultaneously with the 2023 Shenzhen Bougainvillea Show and the Fifth Shenzhen Book Fair, the festival, which runs from Nov. 10 to 19, has gathered more than 100 coffee and catering brands from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It has also invited some well-known coffee brands from Beijing, Shanghai, Xiamen and other Chinese cities.
With areas for cultural, creative and recreational activities such as camping, sports and musical performances, the festival aims to create more scenarios for consumption in parks and highlight the openness and shared benefits of the city's parks. There is also a "silent coffee area" where hearing-impaired baristas make coffee for citizens.
This year's bougainvillea show features more than 70 activities and more than 280 species of bougainvilleas.
